Giving

HELLO again!  To all parents who are following the wellbeing page.

I hope you have tried last week’s chai and sit down, relaxing with candles or managed a short walk, whilst embracing the changing British weather and appreciating nature’s beauty.

This week’s focus is on GIVING one of the 5 wellbeing practices in making you feel good.

You don’t have to empty your bank account in making someone happy, and feeling proud of being kind. Selfless act of kindness is a wellbeing and healing process.

Try the tips below as a start:-

1. Smile and speak to another parent who may be new in your child’s school, during school drop off or pick up.

2.  Offer to make a brew, and take the time to talk to a neighbour, or family member.

3.  Bake, Cook, or pick a shopping for someone who may be struggling in your neighbourhood.

4. Volunteer your time to doing something good for your community, or a chosen charity.

After doing all the above or the few, RELAX!  And MAKE time for yourself, feel good, feel proud of your achievements and of making a difference in someone else’s life.
