In the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1, children undertake a structured, regular, fun, synthetic phonics programme to help them read and spell words. School follows the DFE programme Letters and Sounds. This is supported by our phonics based guided and home reading programmes.
Click on the links below to find more information about each phase of the phonics programme (Letters and Sounds) we follow. There is also a link to the Phonics Play website which has some free games your children can play at home.
Check out the class pages to see how your child is progressing with their reading and spelling homework.
