Individual Liberty
We implement a strong anti-bullying culture which is celebrated every year in November.
Children are free to choose their own friends and play time equipment.
We take part in activities during Children’s Mental Health Week to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves, our health and our well-being, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.

Democracy
We help pupils to express their views e.g. through English lessons and opportunities to present work and opinions.

We made the connection between our learning during Mental Health Week and democracy. At Stoneyholme, we believe that everyone gets a say. Click here to see our learning.
Tolerance
We help pupils to acquire an understanding of and respect for their own and other cultures and ways of life.
We are learning about different opinions about how the world was created.
We learned about the Jewish custom of Shabbat and thought about how being tolerant of others' way of life can actually help us learn about our own health and well-being. Click here to find out more.
Rule of Law
We learn about the importance of having rules and how they are there to keep us safe. We have created Class Charters which we have all agreed to, which enable us to learn.
Mutual Respect
We spend time listening to people's point of view. We talk about what makes everyone different. We learn about different cultures and values. Throughout the year, we visit many places of worship to learn about different beliefs.
