Read the paragraph below. As our warm up focus for this week is using our proof reading strategies, look for errors in the paragraph below that need correcting.

Today we are going to be identifying the language features that we would find in a persuasive text.

Step 1

Look carefully at the 3 slides below. First of all, they remind us of the purpose and structure of a persuasive text.

 

Then, the last slide provides us with the language features that we would see in a persuasive text. If you are unsure about any of the language features, research them to find out more information for us to discuss.

Step 2

Look at the chocolate bar below. Can you make the person you are sat next to want to buy it?

 

If you are at home, Can you make someone in your house want to but it?

Now lets read the model text below. After our research and understanding of the language features, can we identify these in the text below.
