Warm up

Add a main clause to the adverbials below. Can you base your sentences on Macbeth and what you have read so far?

Today we are going to be justifying our opinions by referring to the text. We are going to be doing this using Point and Evidence to help us understand the characters.

First, read Chapter 3 (Act Three). As you read, think carefully about how Macbeth has changed as a person now he is king.

Using this part of the text from Act Three, can you determine whether the statement in the box is true or false? Can you then prove this by locating evidence to support your answer.

Model

Using the text below, can you determine whether the statement is true or false and support this answer with evidence from the text. This is how your task will be set out.

As you read through the text, is there any clues or vocabulary which tell you Banquo is a smart man? If not, can you find evidence to support the fact he isn't a smart man?

Read pages 45-47. These are the pages you are going to be using when completing your task, so it is important to understand what happens at this point in the story.

Task

You have to determine whether the statements (points) you have been provided with are true or false. Then support your answer with evidence from the text and write this in the 'why?' box, as shown below.

If you are at home, write the date and LC in your Blended Learning Books. set your task out like this:
