Week 3 Grounding & 5 Senses

Welcome back for Wednesday Wellbeing!

This week we are going to focus on all our 5 senses to help remind you of the PRESENT by using the term GROUNDING!

Grounding is a new wellness trend that allows people to use nature, and the environment around us to teach ourselves to heal and energise through connecting with our surroundings. There is a lot of discussion at the moment on the benefits ‘nature’ to people’s mental wellbeing. Terms like ‘Earthing’, and ‘Grounding’ are used to encourage not only to value, but to draw in the power of mother earth, for healing.

So to our busy parents! Let’s take some time out together, and notice the here, and now!

What do see? How does this make you feel? What can you hear? Use your sense of smell and taste.

Watch the video below, which explains beautifully the five senses we use every day, but perhaps may not notice.

We are moving onto ‘Friendly February’ folks, so let’s start connecting with people you having been meaning to ‘call’ and not ‘got round to it’.  Feel the Happiness when you connect with others.

Arrange coffee and catch up time on your ZOOM, whattsApp, or Skype with family and friends.

Make a NEW connection with someone living alone, elderly or is differently abled, in your community! (Maintain social distancing)
