Tuesday 17th May 2022

Bring a £1 donation and walk to school in shoes that make you feel the happiest!

Will it be your slippers, a favourite pair of shoes or trainers, your boots or wellies?

To keep you safe in school and at playtimes please wear sensible footwear, no heels!

You will still need to wear your PE kit or school uniform.

If you are doing PE, you can bring your PE pumps or trainers in a bag to change if you are wearing your slippers or wellies.

Please do not ask your parents to buy you new shoes!

Get creative!

You could change an old or plain pair of shoes into new happy shoes. Please ask your parents for permission before you start to decorate them.

   You could:

~ use wool or ribbon for coloured laces or bows

~ cover them with stickers, jewels, pompoms etc.

~ draw patterns or smiley faces with felt tips

On 'Happy Shoesday!', we will have the 1st visit from Strider, the Walk to school mascot, as our school has been at the top of the Lancashire Travel Tracker leader board every month since we launched in November.

Strider will be at the school gates from 8:20 - 8:40 am to say thank you to you and your family for this great achievement. Please let them know if you don't want your photograph taken.

 Well done everyone!

All donations will go to Living Streets, a UK charity for everyday walking. Their mission is to achieve a better walking environment and inspire people to walk more. For more information about the charity, please click on the logo below.
