Walk for the world 2021-22

Walk for the World

Our exciting new 'Walk to school' challenge for 2021-22

Here are some of our Green team leaders presenting the launch to the children in Reception.

Mrs Davison was approached by a local councillor who had received complaints about traffic and anti-social behaviour around our school, at the end of the school day. To help reduce the amount of traffic, we had a meeting to come up with a solution to the problem. We found a 'Walk to school' challenge we think you will enjoy doing that will not only improve the health and well-being of you, your family, and the local community, it will help to protect our planet too. We would like to get everyone walking or park and striding to school every day. We are sure this will then reduce the anti-social behaviour, making the journey to and from our school, a healthier, safer and more enjoyable for everyone.

Recording your journey

Starting on Monday, you will need to record your journey to school on the tracker every day. Your Wow Ambassador (Green Team Leader) will help you if you are not sure what to do.

You will only be able to see the class tracker pages in school. Here is what a class tracker page looks like.

Leaderboards

On the tracker you will also be able to see which classes and schools are leading the way using the dashboard tab at the top of the page.
