Today in Science we are looking again at ‘soil’. Do you remember last week that we had a number of samples of soil? We were able to name one of the samples as sandy and one as clay soil. This week we are going to compare the colour of soil.

The colour of the soil can indicate what it’s ingredients are.

If you are working from home follow the instructions below to investigate soil from two different places.

You will need to use some scrap paper to complete this task.

In school we will compare three different types of soil in the same way as above. When we have completed the investigation we will discuss our findings and hypothesise as to what we have found out.
