When the minute hand (the big hand) is pointing to the number 12, this means the time is O’Clock.
When the minute hand (big hand) points straight down to number 6, this means that the time is half past the hour.
When the minute hand (big hand) points to number 3, this means that the time is quarter past the hour.
When the minute hand (big hand) points to number 9, this means that the time is quarter to the hour.
