In Talking Maths this week we have been looking at reordering, remember it doesn't matter which order you add numbers in because the answer will always be the same. 1+2 will always be the same as 2+1.
Top Tips
You might find it easiest to add number bonds first.
If you had to add 3+5+7, you might want to add 3+7 first to make 10.
You might find it easier to start with the bigger number and add the smaller one.
3+8 might be easier if you turn it round to 8+3.
