The children were displaying lots of interest in pirates; so this half term will be reading lots of pirate and mermaid stories. The children will be making labelled treasure maps and props to support role play.
We will be writing their own stories using Tales Toolkit.

We will be taking part in the Soccer Aid playground Challenge, Refugee Week and Sports Day.
The children came to school wearing their Eid clothes and had celebration at school.
We have taken part in the 'Soccer Aid Playground Challenge'. As a class, the children designed an obstacle course to complete during their PE session.
As a school, we are trying to raise £372 to help build a playground for some school children in Zambia. We discussed Article 31 and how every child has the right to play and rest; and how to respect this right. Take a look at the children completing their own obstacle course below...
The children have been applying what they have learnt in phonics and maths; by writing sentences and calculations.
The children have been painting pictures of pirates, we have been looking at adding detail and using the correct colours.

During the fruit tasting workshop, the children tasted a variety of different fruits; we thought of different words to describe each fruit.
