Goldilocks and the Three Bears
In English this term, we will be reading and learning the traditional story 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'.
We will invent our own versions of this story.
In Phonics, we will be learning new sounds and using our phonics knowledge to read and write.
We will also be reading and writing tricky words.
In maths we are learning about calculations - multiplication, division and fractions.
In Science we will be learning about the weather in the UK and thinking about how the days are different lengths at different times of the year.
We are looking forward to science week, where we will be doing an investigation.
We will also observe the changes across the four seasons.
In Geography we will be learning about seasonal and daily weather sequences in the UK.
We will be following the Scheme on Charanga YUMU
'Round and Round'.
We will be listening to and appraising a range of different music.
We will also be singing, improving our rhythm skills, improvising and playing our own music.

We will learn about Christianity and our focus question will be:-
Why do Christians say that God is a Father?
We will link this work to the Christian festival of Easter.
We will be learning to program and we will create a series of instructions.
This half term we will be discussing a range of topics.
We will learn that some things are private, and the importance of respecting privacy.
We will learn how to respond to adults we don't know.
We will learn about the importance of not keeping adults' secrets (only happy surprises that others will find out about eventually).
We will learn about the people whose job it is to help keep us safe.
We will learn how to keep safe at home, including fire safety.
, we will be exploring lots of different exercises and activities that will help develop physical and emotional well-being.
In PE, we will be learning fundamental movement skills.
We will explore the skills of catching a ball, bouncing a ball and tactics in a game.
