This week in spelling we are going to carry on learning about the suffixes.

Watch carefully

We are going to learn how to add these suffixes to words that end in 'e'.

Look at these words.

hope, shine, ride, write, take

When we add the suffix '-ing' we need to take off the 'e'.

hope - hoping shine - shining

Now try ride, write and take by yourself.

In your handwriting book write the words 3 times each

hoping, shining, riding, writing, taking
