Reading

Today we are going to be reading more pages of the Alice in Wonderland story. We are then going to be generating questions to refine our thinking. Doing this will develop your understanding of what is happening in the story.

Step 1

First, read pages 27 to 33 of the story. You will find these on the rabbit subpage below. It is important that you read these carefully so you have a good understanding of what unfolds at the croquet match.

Step 2

Below is a question generator table. As you see, down the left side of the grid are clues to help you start your question. At the top of the table are modal verbs that you could include in your question. When you are generating your questions, use this table to help you.

Look at the MODEL below to see how I have used the table.

Step 3

As you can see, with my first question, I have used the word 'What' from the table and included the modal verb 'did' in my question. I identified my answer first as well, before I generated a question.

As you can see, with my second question, I have used the word 'What' from the table and included the modal verb 'was' in my question. I identified my answer first as well, before I generated a question.
