Reading 2nd lesson

Tuesday 26th January 2021

LC: To identify and discuss themes.

A theme is an idea shared in a story.

There can be more than one theme in a story.

Reread the Pied Piper text so that you are clear on the events that happen.

Listen to the teacher explain how the theme of greed is shown in the Pied Piper story.

Here are two other themes that can be found in the Pied Piper story:

1) Being unjust

(not behaving in a way that is right and fair)

2) Revenge

    (hurting or harming someone because

they made you suffer or treated you badly)

You are going to find and highlight evidence in the text that shows the theme and then explain why.
