LC: To justify responses to a text using point and evidence.
Why did the woodcutter lay awake worrying?
Point: He must have been worried about his family starving.
A point is your opinion based on what you have read.
Evidence: 'There was scarcely any food' and 'there had been a great famine' which means there was little food for him and his family.
Evidence from the text is the clue or clues that make you have a certain opinion.
He must have been worried about his family starving because there was scarcely any food and there had been a great famine.
Your Task
1. Re-read the Pied Piper of Hamelin playscript and then answer the questions.
2. Re-read the Hansel and Gretel playscript and then answer the questions.
