R.E.

Last week we looked at different symbols that are important to Christians.

Can you remember what they were and what they reminded Christians of?

Well done if you said the cross for love, or the dove for peace and hope. Did you remember that the spire on a church building reminded Christians of Heaven?

This week, we are going to take a look inside a church. Watch the videos below and follow Rev. Liz around. Can you spot any of the symbols?

Your task is to design a church that can be used by the Christian community.

Think about what it might look like from the outside and what features it would have on the inside. You can draw things you have seen on the videos today. Write a brief description of what you draw and what it is used for.

For example: if you draw a spire on the roof of your church you can write a sentence saying it is there to remind Christians of Heaven.

If you are at home, draw this in your book and send a picture of it to your teacher when you have finished.
