Counting to 100
Today we are going to look at practically making halves.
What does half mean?
Here I have 4 apples.
What do I need to do to split them in half?
You need to share them into 2 groups.
Here I have a cake.
What do I need to do to half the cake?
You need to cut it in half so there are 2 equal pieces.
If you’re in school use your play dough to make the different numbers below and then share them into 2 groups to find half.
If you’re learning from home find some small objects you can use and then share them into 2 groups.
When you have finished each one take a photo and upload them onto Seesaw.
Use the shape templates and cut carefully then fold and cut the shapes into halves.
