LC: To add and subtract fractions

What do you think about their answers? Are they correct?

 

What do you know about adding and subtracting fractions?

You can clearly see that one third is bigger than two sevenths by itself without adding one quarter!
And subtracting fractions.
This is right! We cannot add or subtract fractions with different denominators - so what can we do? Think back to last week! 

Don't forget to find common denominators! 

When you are feeling confident, move on to the independent task.
