LC: To plan a persuasive letter that will include appropriate language and information on a given topic.
In Reading, you looked into the the benefits of modern day life. You should have made notes that we can use to persuade Stig to stay in the modern day with Barney.
For Literacy today, you are going to use these notes to create your plan for your invented persuasive letter to Stig.
Your focus will be to persuade Stig to stay in the modern day with Barney. You will be writing this from the perspective of Barney.
We looked at making plans on Monday.
Remember to think about:
- Present tense
- Logical connectives - because, but, however, therefore
- Connectives showing the move from one point to another - Firstly
- Persuasive Devices - Emotive language, Rhetorical questions, Deliberate ambiguity, Turning truths into facts and Daring to disagree.
