The number of each children in each column of the picture graph has been counted and record as a tally.

3A has 8 children

3B has 5 children

3C has 5 children

3D has 6 children

 

This has been recorded in a picture graph/pictogram below.

Each whole circle = 2 children

Half a circle = 1 child

So 5 children will be represented with

2 whole circles and 1 half circle 

(2+2+1 = 5)
