For a pass you will need to create your idea for your story. What will it be about? Why? What interests you? Who will your story be for? Who will read it? Will you use photos or draw pictures? Who will be the characters in your story? Write your plan or video or voice record your ideas.
For a merit you will need to write one page of a graphic novel. You will be able to follow and use your amazing idea from the pass stage of this project. You will need to have a beginning, a middle and an end. It will be a very short story. What will make children want to read your article? What will your characters look like? What are their personalities? Have fun being creative with your graphic novel.
For a distinction you will need to create your own complete graphic novel or comic. It will need a front cover with teasers enticing children to read the stories inside. Draw on your research from earlier on in the project. Can you make your graphic novel? Who will read it? What will make your story stand out from the crowd? What will make it exciting or dramatic? You will need to use your artistic talents for your graphic novel and once you have drawn a character they will need to be drawn in the same way each time they appear on the page. This part of the project will take time but it will be worth it. You will be able to bring your very own published graphic novel into school in September. We cannot wait to see them. 😊
Send photos of your finished work to Mrs Salha and Miss Hall on your Purple Mash email.
