Today we are going to look at those verbs that change in the past tense. These are irregular verbs.
eat becomes ate
sleep becomes slept
Which of these sentences are correct?
My brother catched a cold.
My brother caught a cold.
Well done if you said the second one. We add 'ed' to the end of most past tense verbs, but catch is irregular so it changes.
