In Orienteering, we will follow our Whole School Cross-Curricular Orienteering Scheme of Work. We will be learning the skills of Orienteering including how to follow instructions and move forwards, backwards, left and right. We will learn how to read and follow simple maps and develop our spatial awareness alongside our Fundamental Movement Skills.
During PE we will be using the theme of Minibeasts to: perform the basic skill of jumping, travel over, under and through climbing equipment, catch a large sponge ball, catch with accuracy, roll in a variety of ways and revisit the movement skills already learnt.
We will be balancing on small body parts and traveling on our hands and feet. We learning how to control pushing and patting objects, as well as throwing under arm with some accuracy.
We will be performing a variety of gymnastic rolls.
In P.E, we are working very hard on our 5 Fundamental Movement Skills: running, jumping, hopping, catching and throwing. We are also travelling over, under and through climbing equipment.
