LC - To recognise shifts in formality.
By now, you all understand what is expected from a year 6 child in writing. However, do you want to push yourself further and go for greater depth? The answer is yes by the way!
One of the most difficult things to do is to change the level of formality in one piece of writing. Not all types of writing let you do this but narrative is one good example of where you can show this skill.
Look at the Powerpoint below. It will explain what you need to know and then ask you to complete an activity on Seesaw. Stop the Powerpoint at this point and restart it once you have done the task.
