LC: To identify adverbs.

 

Some -ly words are adverbs some are not.

Discuss which underlined word is an adverb?

 

First find the noun.

Then find the verb.

Now find the adverb.

 

The spring garden looks lovely.

 

My little sister has a wobbly tooth.

 

The clothes are folded neatly.

 

Her brown hair is long and curly

 "Will you walk into my lounge?" said the spider to the fly. 

 

"It is the loveliest little lounge that ever you did spy.” 

 

 "O no, no," said the little fly, "To ask me is in vain, for who goes up your twisting stair can never come down again."
