English

Yesterday we read 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit'. This is the first book that was written by Beatrix Potter.

We also listened to Peter's song from the CBeebies show.

Have another listen and see if there is anything you can add to the Rabbit on the Wall.

If you are learning from home, email your teacher what you have learned from the song.

Now talk to your teacher about what you know about Peter Rabbit and what you want to know.

Your teacher will write your ideas in this grid:

Use this question hand to help you think of questions for the 'want to know' part of the grid.

If you are working from home, email your teacher to say what you would like to find out about Peter Rabbit.

Next we are going to read the start of the story again.

Your teacher (or parent) will read one sentence at a time then you will read and repeat the sentence with expression...

Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-Tail and Peter.

They lived with their mother in a sandbank underneath the root of a very big fir-tree.

Did you learn something about Peter from the start of the story? Tell your teacher what you know, so they can add it to the 'Rabbit on the Wall'.

Now look at these words from the story:
