LC: To write a paragraph with arguments ‘for’

Today, we are going to write the next paragraph in our shared discussion text - arguments ‘for’ the extension of the school day. Within this paragraph we will include the following arguments:

 

  • it will allow children to make up for lost learning at home
  • it will help to prepare children for the coming academic year
  • it will build confidence as this may have been affected during the period of lockdown

 

Once we have completed our shared writing, you will need to write your own version of this part of our discussion texts. 
 

Today is a perfect opportunity to use some of the cohesive devices that we have been practising in class.
