You did a fantastic job yesterday learning about alphabetical order.

Today we are going to learn what we need to do if the words start with the same letter.

First let's remind ourselves of the order of the letters of the alphabet.

So if two or more words start with the same letter what do we need to do?

That's right we need to look at the second letter of each word. Then we can put the words in alphabetical order using the second letter.

So we would put cat before cow.

That's because a comes before o in the alphabet.
