You are doing such a good job writing this story. Miss Reid says it is one of the longest that children in school learn off-by-heart.

Today Mrs Fernandes and Miss Rycroft will be looking to see if you can:

  • use past tense verbs effectively (choosing the ones that make sense)

Luckily she had a parachute with her. Quickly she put it on and jumped out. But she crashed to the ground and landed on top of a very dangerous cliff. Undaunted, she slid all the way down. But just as she reached the bottom she skidded into…A GIANT ELEPHANT SEAL!

Aaisha ran away as fast as she could until she reached a dangerous river of broken ice. So she jumped…hopped…skipped…bounded…and leapt across the ice until she was safely on the other side.

As Aaisha continued on her journey, it started to snow heavily so Aaisha pitched her tent. But the wind was too strong and her tent blew away! Fortunately she spotted a small cave. She crept inside but…A FIERCE SNOW FOX LEAPT OUT!

  1. Remember to use your verbs in the correct order (look at your story map!) It would be very dangerous of your character to JUMP out before they PUT on their parachute.
  2. This is the time to use your new animals that you added to your map.
