LC: To write a discussion text

Today, you need to continue to write your discussion about the excavation of King Tutankhamun’s tomb by Howard Carter in 1922. Today’s writing should present the arguments ‘against’ this. You can use the arguments below if you want to or use different ones of your own, either way is fine.

Whichever you choose to write about, there should be three arguments ‘against’ in total. You must explain each of the points with enough detail.

  • People argued that it was wrong to disturb a religious tomb
  • People thought that a curse would be unleashed
  • People thought that the British archaeologist was intruding and ordered his team to leave Egypt
  • People argued that they were grave robbers themselves

As you are writing you must actively read every sentence as you write them.

For example:

  • When you finish the first sentence, read it and check for mistakes with GPS and opportunities to improve.

  • When you finish the second sentence, read both and repeat.

  • When you have completed the paragraph, read the whole paragraph.

  • When you have done that, read from the beginning of your discussion.

THIS IS HOW TO PROOF READ PROPERLY!
