Challenge to complete in school
Decorate any item to make it relate to a book. You could create a character or significant object, make your item tell the story in some way, symbolise the theme of the story, add details that represent different aspects of the story or . . .
Some ideas for items could be e.g. paper plate wooden spoon, pebble, disposable cup, pillowcase, lolly stick, t-shirt, paper lantern, kitchen roll tube, cereal box, twig from a tree or . . .
After you've had a bit of a think, talk with your teacher about whether the item is something you want to bring from home (with permission from your adult there!) or if they will be providing items from school for you to choose from. You'll also need to think about what resources we have in school that you can use for the decoration.
Please send photo's of your completed items to me. I can't wait to see how creative you've all been!!
