Paragraph 1 – The Mysterious Door

Kai and Leo were walking through the dark forest when they noticed an old wooden door standing by itself amongst the trees. Thick ivy climbed around the frame and strange symbols were carved into the wood. Although Leo wanted to leave, Kai was eager to investigate. As they pushed the heavy door open, a cold breeze rushed past them and they stepped inside, wondering who could have built such a mysterious place.

Paragraph 2 – The Hidden Room

Inside, the boys discovered a cosy room that looked as though somebody was living there. There was a small bed with a woollen blanket, a wooden table covered with books and a lantern that still glowed softly. Plants and ivy crept across the walls and wrapped around shelves filled with unusual objects. Nervously, the boys explored the room and noticed footprints in the dust, making them wonder if someone had only just left. Then, hidden behind a thick curtain of ivy at the back of the room, they discovered another door.
