Story Starter: The Light in the Attic
Nobody had lived in the old house on Willow Lane for as long as anyone could remember. Its windows were covered in dust, weeds tangled around the garden fence, and the front gate groaned whenever the wind blew. Most people hurried past without even looking at it.
One stormy evening, as rain hammered against the pavement, Noah noticed something unusual.
A light was shining from the attic window.
He stopped.
That couldn't be right.
The house had been empty for years.
For a moment, the light flickered and disappeared. Noah rubbed his eyes and looked again. There it was—a faint yellow glow, moving slowly from one side of the window to the other.
A shiver ran down his spine.
Then he saw a shadow.
It paused behind the glass.
Watching.
Noah's heart began to race. He took a step backwards, but before he could turn away, the attic window creaked open.
And a voice whispered,
"Help me..."
