The referee blew the whistle and the match between England and Croatia began. Both teams passed the ball carefully, looking for a chance to attack. Midway through the second half, England won a corner. The ball was crossed into the box, and a defender rose highest to head it into the net. The crowd leapt to their feet and cheered loudly. Croatia pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but England worked hard and stayed organised. As the final whistle sounded, the players celebrated an important victory while supporters waved their flags with pride.
