LC: to discuss and evaluate how authors use language, including figurative language, considering the impact on the reader

Let's look at the language in the retelling of Macbeth.

What does 'hath' mean?

Why does the author use this archaic (old and no longer used) rather than make it more modern?

Discuss this with your talk partner and decide how  to say these words in more modern language?

'That which hath made them drunk hath made me bold!'

Rewrite these in modern language to show the reader a clear meaning.

B)

C)

Can we add what we have learnt about language to the Retelling Toolkit?
