 Grammar Warm Up

LC: to improve sentences using parentheses

Correct and improve these sentences using parentheses.

a) The boy who (lives near me is) in my class. 

b) The movie we saw - last night was - cool. 

c) The Black Rhino which , is an endangered species, is native to Africa.

 

 

LC: to identify and discuss conventions of retelling text 

We have looked at the characters of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. 

What do we know about the setting of the story?

There is  very little about the setting here in Marcia Williams' retelling of Macbeth.

LC: To use our observational skills to observe how substances can be separated using evaporation

We are going to observe if a solution can be separated using evaporation. 

You will need:

- jars

- water

- salt

- coffee

- sugar 

- a timer
