 LC: Write an effective diary entry opening that includes description of thoughts and feelings

 

 Let's write the first part of the model recount text. 

 

Your teacher will write her recount about Alice falling down the rabbit hole. 

You will write your recount about Alice in the Caucus Race.

• Where is the story set?

 

• P5 – 8 – What are the names of the characters?

 

• P7 -Which words tell you that the older brothers do not believe in the firebird?

 

• P7 – Does the Tsar think Dmitry will catch the bird? How do you know?

 

• Focus before reading p9 – Look out for words/phrases that tell us how the Tsar is felt when he found Vasily asleep by the apple tree.
