The Ten Commandments – Living Well Together
Long ago, the Israelites were given rules called the Ten Commandments to help them live well.
The Ten Commandments teach us to:
- Worship God
- Respect God’s name
- Keep a special day for rest
- Respect parents
- Not hurt others
- Not steal
- Not lie
- Not be jealous
These rules helped people live in peace—and they still guide people today.
Reflection:
Think quietly: Which of these rules helps people get along the most?
Discussion:
Turn to a partner: Which commandment do you think is most important today?
