There are many different sentence types. Let's take a look:

In your books, you are now going to write a short piece using the three different sentence types. You will write about a Lion.
1) Make sure to include a question.
2) Make sure to include an exclamation mark.
3) Use a normal sentence with a full stop at the end.

LC: To sequence and discuss the main events in stories.
Today we are going to orally retell the story of "The Enormous Crocodile" so far, using a storyboard to help us.
Looking at the pictures, can you remind your friends and tell them what has happened in the story up to now.
Before you have a go at writing some sentences under each picture, I will read out to you exactly what happened.
LC: To be able to compare and order numbers up to 1000.
LC: To name and locate the 4 countries of the UK.
Using the atlas can you find and name the continents of the world.
Now find and name the oceans.
Using an atlas, locate the U.K on a world map. Now complete the map below.
Choose a different colour for each of the counties that form the UK. Your teacher will demonstrate how to shade for the list below the map and apply that colour to the chosen area.
