Identify and discuss how information is organised in paragraphs.

Paragraphs are a collection of sentences.

They are used in writing to introduce new sections of a story, characters or pieces of information.

Paragraphs help readers to enjoy what has been written because they break text up into easy-to-read sections.

Look at this explanation, can you identify the paragraphs with your partner?

There is a copy of this on your table but the paragraphs are in a muddle. Your job is to sort them so that the food chain makes sense.

Revision 4

Turn to page 173 and 174.

Talk partners.

What have we done so far in Engineering?

Today we are going to continue on to the next step of making our own finger puppet!

Look into your Engineering books and remind yourself of what your design looks like.

We are going to use colored felt and scissors, to make the start of our finger puppet. Your teacher will show you how to do this step.

Can you explain how to respond if physical contact makes them feel uncomfortable or unsafe?

 Remember

  • Your body belongs to you.

  • Some kinds of touch are nice (like hugs from family), but some touches can make us feel uncomfortable.

  • If someone makes you feel upset, scared, or confused with touch—you can say NO.

  • Always tell a trusted adult if something doesn’t feel right.

Talk to your partner

  • "Who gives you hugs or high fives?"

  • "How do you feel when someone gives you a hug you don’t want?"

What should we do if someone makes us feel funny or scared?
