Thursday
To be able to identify and count the vertices in a polygon.
Let’s explore.
Let’s learn.

Activity time

To discuss how information has been organised within a persuasive advert.
- We know that adverts are used to attract visitors to the attraction.
- We have discussed who the audience is and how colours are used to attract different people.
- We have also begun to collect our favourite words and phrases to use in our own work.
Now, we are going to look at the structure of an advert to help us with the design of our own advert. We will annotate this example so you know how to annotate your advert.
What can you see on the front cover?

What is important about the information on the back of the leaflet?
Why have they used red to show the new animal?
Let's take a closer look a what's inside.

Can you spot any sub-headings or captions?
Why has bold writing been used?
What is 'swings and slide' and example of?
What is the purpose of the red writing?

Now it's your turn. You are going to work in groups to annotate your advert in the same way.
