Thursday
We are very good at writing sentences and knowing that they end with full stops. But these are only one type of sentence- a statement.
When we want to find out information, we use a different type of sentence- a question. These types of sentences end with a question mark (?)
Today we are going to generate questions to ask Arty to find out more information.
Now it's your turn to write down some questions that you would like to ask. It can be one that you have shared or another you have in your mind.
Remember to use one of the question starters off the hand below.

To add a 1 digit number to a 2 digit number with renaming.
Let’s look at these again.
Turn to page 33 and 34.

We are going to the STEAM Hub to create our group sculptures in the style of Barbara Hepworth.

Can you talk about the similarities and differences of family lives?

Families can look different, but they can all be loving and caring.
Families might be similar because:
- They care for each other.
- They spend time together.
- They have rules and routines.
- They celebrate special occasions.
- People in the family help each other.
Families might be different because:
- Some children live with one parent, two parents, grandparents, foster carers or other carers.
- Some families have brothers and sisters, while others do not.
- Families may have different traditions, foods, languages or celebrations.
- Some families live in the same house, while others may live in different homes.
- Family members may have different jobs, interests and responsibilities.
You are going to create three cards of something you and your family do together. Then we will play snap with the children on your table to see what is similar or what is different.
