Today we are going to write information about trains.

Now your teacher will model and share with you how to write sentences about trains.
Once your teacher has wrote the shared write, you are to follow the model write.
Soon it will be your turn to write for CBeebies!

Shared writing
Steam trains burn coal in a firebox to heat the water and make steam. It goes fast and puffs out steam because it burns coal. They pull lots of coaches and have powerful engines. Steam trains can be different colours but they all have chimneys. The train driver drives the train and can go fast or slow. People like steam trains because they are old and exciting!
Read aloud your writing audibly to adults and peers.
Today we are going to make our TV show about trains for CBBC!
We will be reading our writing from earlier today then present it on video.
Your talk partner will film you doing this, on your own iPad.
Next, practise reading your writing about trains using a really interesting TV voice.
