Add–er and –est to adjectives where no change is needed for the root word.
Find a friend–Provide sticky notes with adjectives for half of the class and give out +er and +est cards to the other half of the class. Children shuffle round the room and find a friend. Once found ,they should place the root word and the prefix together to create a word. E.g. quick +er= quicker or young +est = youngest.
Enjoy and recite poems off by heart.
