Watch the opening scene of Peter Rabbit and focus on McGregor. 

We are going to play true or false, in the outdoor classroom some sentences have been hidden. Can you put these statements into either the true side or false side? 

We are going to create a character profile for Mr McGregor, your teacher will model, then remove the model so make sure you are listening! 

Can we create soft textures like fur using pastels when drawing a rabbit?

• Does it look smooth, fluffy, soft?
• How could we show that softness in a drawing?

Today we are going to draw a simple rabbit shape like we did in week 1 and we are going to use these techniques to help us draw fur on our rabbits - 

Use pastels to add fur texture by:

Making small, gentle strokes

Layering colours

Smudging slightly to soften

Encourage children to - 

Think about direction of fur (around face, ears, body)

Use lighter and darker shades

Your teacher will model it first then it will be your turn to draw.
