Purpose: No one is listening to the complaints that the people are making at the Town Hall meeting. The victims begin to complain to each other via text messages.
Your task is to write a text message conversation between two characters complaining about the crimes that have taken place in their community.

Look at the pictures below. What do all these people have in common? What one word links them all?
Authority means having the power or right to give orders, make decisions, or control people's actions. People who have these are called authority figures - which just means people who have authority over others.
With your group, make a list of all the people who have authority in the home, school and the community. What sort of authority do they have?
Now can you write down everything that you know about authority figures. What makes an authority figure? How many different authority figures do you know?
