EYFS

Blurbs 

Green Screen 

A green screen club is a fun way for young students to learn about visual effects and filmmaking. Using green, students can film themselves and then digitally insert themselves into different backgrounds or scenes. This allows them to be creative and imagine themselves in all sorts of exciting places, from outer space to underwater. 

Nature Detectives 

Come and join in fun outdoor activities using natural materials found in our school grounds. 

- Collect sticks to decorate for a woodland wind chime 

- Build a palace for minibeasts 

- Use natural materials found around our school grounds to create a woodland spirit 

- Be a woodland artist - create a twig tower or sculpture 

- Have a go at woodland whittling

Stoneyholme Snappers 

Stoneyholme Snappers is designed to provide children with a creative, safe, and fun learning environment. Where young children get to explore creative photographic ideas whilst learning a lifelong skill. And with winter just around the corner, children will have the perfect opportunity to capture the cold and crispy weather that come with it.  Learn how to capture the perfect light, try capturing the sharpest flower shot, master the perfect landscape frame, and why not create your own photo journal. Let’s see where your camera and your eyes take you!

Balance Bikes 

At Stoneyholme’s Balanceablity Enrichment we will learn lots of skills and take on some exciting assault courses. We will become experts on how to protect ourselves whilst out and about. I promise it will be ‘wheely’ fun! 

Multi-Sports  

A fun and competitive session where children will be participating in multi-skills activities. 

The perfect way to have fun, stay fit, be safe, make new friends. During our sessions, we will deliver a range of fun and exciting games to build confidence, social skills and improve fitness. 

Dance  

EYFS, it’s your time to dance! This club is aimed at energetic and enthusiastic boys & girls who want to come together and have fun by expressing themselves through freestyle, rhythm, and street dance! Not only will you become a superstar dancer, but you will have amazing fun whilst doing so!  

Sketches   

Develop your inner artist using your iPad and the Sketches app, learn advanced techniques to create richer looking art. 

Mini Crests Experiments 

Whizz, Pop, Bang! Let’s ignite new interests, imagination and exploration. Join me in an exciting way to engage in finding out about how things happen and why! We’ll carry out experiments and investigate their reaction. Come on bright sparks, are you ready to be challenged?   

Year's 1 and 2

Story Creations – Scratch Jnr 

Bring to life your scenes and characters using stop frame animation, the skills used to create the Wallace and Gromit films. Learn all the tricks and skills to become the next Hollywood creative superstar storyteller through Stop Frame Animation. 

Engineering 

Your challenge, if you choose to accept it is to gain tools and techniques to solve problems, we come across on our journey using Lego pieces. We'll build, explore and investigate. It's going to be hands on learning using our critical thinking, creativity and organisational skills. So, if you think you've got it in you come and join us in having some fun! 

Junior Jam  

Have you ever wondered what all the weird and wonderful instruments are in the music room? Well now you can if you join in with Junior Jam. In this enrichment we will be playing and testing out all the different instruments from Bongo Drums to the Piano and everything in between. You will learn lots of new skills in this enrichment, so why don't you come and join us for Junior Jam and release your inner musician.

Mircrobit Programming 

Learn to program a microchip computer consisting of digital display and inputs. Make your own step counters, temperature sensors or even a rock/paper/scissors game.  

Possibilities are endless, so let's get coding together! 

Outdoor Art 

If you love the great outdoors and art, then come and join this enrichment session where we'll be getting messy and having fun creating big art pieces. We'll be exploring different art techniques such as colour mixing, marbling, splattering and much more, all whilst using the outdoor provisions.

Wellbeing Wednesday  

Our Wellbeing Enrichment is based around the 4 concepts of Mind, Mentoring, Strong Body and Strong Team. Children learn that physical activity and good mental health are linked. This enrichment raises the profile of health and wellbeing using physical activity as a vehicle for change and empowering young people to support one another.    

Global Gardens Butterfly Project 

Come and help set up butterfly nets so that we can have real butterflies flying around the domes when we go to visit our Global gardens. 

Orienteering 

 Come and unlock an active learning world! We will practise skills from different subjects whilst we are on the move. We will improve our map reading skills and work together as a team to solve lots of problems. Are you up for the job? 

Gardening 

Would you like to explore the school grounds, caring for the plants, planting up the pots and the flower beds?  Why not join our “Green Fingers Gardening club”. Gardening has many great physical, mental and emotional benefits for children, helping develop self-esteem levels as well as introducing sustainable living practices into their lives in a fun way. Gardening is also an amazing way to get you outdoors and to help you understand the natural world around you! 

Year's 3 and 4

Dance 

Year 3 and 4, it’s your time to dance! This club is aimed at energetic and enthusiastic boys & girls who want to come together and have fun by expressing themselves through freestyle, rhythm, and street dance! Not only will you become a superstar dancer, but you will have amazing fun whilst doing so!  

Mud n Pot 

How green is your playground? Over the 5 weeks, you will be working together outdoors, planting and making things to increase biodiversity in your outdoor areas.   

Van Goghs  

Van Gogh - truly inspiring art from a true art legend. From Chair to sunflowers to Cornfield to Starry night.  Appreciate the quality of mark making, choices of colour and materials. To inspire your artwork.

Gardening enrichment provide a wonderful opportunity for students to get their hands dirty and learn about the natural world. Through hands-on activities in the school garden, children can develop important skills like teamwork, responsibility, and environmental awareness. 

Gardening enrichment incorporate lessons on topics like plant life cycles, composting, and healthy eating.  

Landscape Artist 

Learn about styles, colours, composition and become the complete Artist. Observe the great landscape artists of the world spanning the decades as your starting point. Using observational drawing, developing your style as the beginning of your landscape journey.  

Kwik Cricket  

Time to get our Cricket bat and ball out. Our Cricket club provides an ideal introduction to a great team summer sport.  As well as having fun and healthy exercise, children will learn the core skills, techniques, and basic knowledge of soft ball cricket, take part in mini games, and prepare for upcoming summer events.   

Engineering  

Would you like to explore a project-based learning activity in Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Mathematics which will help extend the curriculum taught in your class? In this STEAM enrichment activity, you will learn what engineers do, build bridges and rollercoasters, marble runs and take part in paper towel challenges.  This STEAM project will enable you to gain experience that builds understanding and vocabulary, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and reflection. 

Year's 5 and 6

Time to get our Cricket bat and ball out. Our Cricket club provides an ideal introduction to a great team summer sport.  As well as having fun and healthy exercise, children will learn the core skills, techniques, and basic knowledge of soft ball cricket, take part in mini games, and prepare for upcoming summer events.

Netball Burnley Leisure 

How are your throwing, catching and footwork skills? Are you a good team player? If you think this sounds like you then why not try Netball Club!   Here at Netball Club, we will develop all skills and play lots of FUN, competitive High5 games.
