 Let’s look at some of the words and phrases in the story.

Then something TERRIBLE happened



tentacles

But his stripes were too straight and his tentacles too few

vast

Her mouth vast as a cave

 

rough

Her tongue was rough as barnacles

slimy

 

Stanley slid down her slimy throat

scruffy

Poor old Stanley was ripped up, scruffy and torn.

 

choke

She gasped and she spluttered then started to choke too.

shore

The creature was scared and swam quickly to shore.

 

tugged

One more means we add 1 more to the number we already have.

 

What is one more than 4?
